The Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Dr Nobuhle Nkabane (MP), will on Saturday, 28 October 2023, officially handover newly built Sheba Primary School and an upgraded Ngwane Primary School in Barberton, Mpumalanga.

The schools are Social and Labour Plan (SLP) projects by Barberton Mine. Mining companies are required to implement projects that seek to empower communities in which they operate, the labour-sending areas, and employees for a better standard of living through socio-economic development, including the investment in skills, knowledge and experience.

The Deputy Minister will be joined amongst others by the Premier of Mpumalanga, the Minister of Basic Education, Barberton mine senior managers, executive Mayors of Ehlanzeni District Municipality and Mbombela Local Municipality.
