The Minister and Deputy of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe (MP) and Dr Nobuhle Nkabane (MP) will on Wednesday 13 September 2023, address the 3rd Southern Africa Oil and Gas Conference set to take place in Cape Town.
The two-day conference is convened by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) through the Petroleum Agency of South Africa (PASA) and the South African Oil and Gas Alliance (SAOGA) under the theme: "Oil and gas development to address Southern Africa’s energy challenges while ensuring a Just Energy Transition.”
It brings together policy makers, delegates from the business fraternity, the academia, research institutions, and non-governmental organisations to deliberate on, amongst other focus areas, the regulatory framework, new exploration opportunities and advances that would unlock Southern African’s potential in the oil and gas sector.
