The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe (MP) will deliver the keynote address at the De Beers Sightholder Sales South Africa Sky Park Grand Opening on Friday, 19 May 2023.

De Beers Group rough diamond sorting and sales division, De Beers Sightholder Sales South Africa, has relocated from Kimberley to Ekurhuleni effective January 2023.The relocation is part of De Beers’ strategy to consolidate their remaining operations to be in close proximity to reduce operating costs and leverage on Group synergies. The relocation also aligns with the establishment of the Gauteng Industrial Development Zone, a national government’s initiative to consolidate the diamond industry in one area close to the OR Tambo International Airport.
