Government and the automotive industry will host the Powering Africa Mobility Indaba that seeks to ensure a just transition to e-mobility, which would increase job creation, from 19 to 20 April 2023 at the Durban International Convention Centre.

The two-day Indaba is convened under the theme: “Innovative Technologies Enabling South Africa Towards Realising Sustainable Development,” and will feature electric vehicles (EV) exhibitions, panel discussions on transitioning from fuel to electricity, research and innovation in new energy vehicles and the future of combustible engine vehicles among others.

Developing electric cars (EVs) makes e-mobility efficient and enhances people’s quality of life. The rise of EVs puts battery technologies at the core of sustainable developments and obtains support through the electrification of urban public transport.
