The Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Dr Nobuhle Nkabane (MP) will embark on a schools outreach programme at the Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality, Kwa-Zulu Natal.

The school’s outreach programme is aimed at creating enabling environment and mobilise the required resources for leaners to learn and attain inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities.

The campaign is part of government’s programme of action aimed at motivating, encouraging and persuading learners to learn. It also aims to ensure that the Mining and Energy Sectors have an adequate supply of critical skills required to ensure sustainability.

Dr Nkabane will be joined by the MEC of Education in KZN, the Executive Mayor of Harry Gwala District Municipality and Mayor of Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality.
