Resources and Energy (DMRE) in partnership with the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) and the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium will host the 2nd African Diamond Conference to be held in Durban from the 5th – 6th May 2020.

The ADC was initiated by the AWDC and the inaugural event was held in November 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. The conference is a high-level gathering of African Mining Ministries, Diplomatic Corporations, the global diamond industry and civil society whose focus is on key issues affecting African Diamond producing countries. The conference discussed issues cutting across the diamond value chain including resources management, marketing and trading, the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, as well as the potential impact of synthetic diamonds on African economies.
